Refuge Missionary Baptist Church and God's Little Acre Learning Center were started in 2004 by Pastor Daniel Elliott. He was called by God to start this church in his hometown of Murphy, NC, and this ministry is a branch of Temple Baptist Church. He pastored for almost 50 years in western North Carolina. He started God's Little Acre in response to a desire and call by God to provide quality preschool education with a Christian focus. It stayed open until June 2020.
Pastor Danny Elliott passed away March 4, 2022. He will be greatly missed by our church and our community. We honor him for his commitment to teach and preach the truth of God's Word without apology, and for his faithfulness to the Lord by being a loving shepherd to his flock.
